Although I enjoyed my Brownie camera from a very young age, it was my experience as a School Media Specialist in a junior high school that made me realize that I had some serious talent for photography. The students were too young to put together their yearbook without help. So I did much of the photography and captured some really wonderful shots in the process.
I have a severe hearing impairment and, although my cochlear implant has improved my hearing substantially, my sensitivty to feelings,
textures and details is well developed. I've won lots of competitions. In 2010 alone, I won eight awards, was selected for three juried shows, and had several images published.
Here are some samples of my work. I hope you'll enjoy them.
